Psychotherapy
I offer online individual psychotherapy to adult clients throughout California.
To see if we’d work well together, get in touch to set up a free 15-minute phone consultation.
How I work
I integrate EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to work at the root of trauma and anxiety, DBT for in-the-moment emotional tools, and CBT and ACT to shift stuck patterns — matched to what you actually need.
Therapy for Highly Sensitive People (Online, California)
If you feel things deeply, notice every shift in a room, and reach overwhelm faster than the people around you, you may be a highly sensitive person (HSP) — a trait researchers call sensory processing sensitivity. It’s not a disorder, but without support it often feeds anxiety, perfectionism, overstimulation, and burnout.
As a therapist for highly sensitive people, I offer online HSP therapy across California: therapy for overstimulation and emotional sensitivity that helps you set boundaries, recover from sensory and social overload, and treat your sensitivity as a strength rather than something to push through.
Insurance & payment
Network participation
I accept Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross, Health Net, Managed Health Network (MHN), and Providence.
Policies vary significantly — please verify your specific benefits before beginning treatment so you can make informed decisions about your care.
Out-of-network benefits
If I’m not in-network with your plan, you may still have coverage. Call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask:
- Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
- What percentage of session costs will be covered?
- What is my out-of-network deductible?
- What documentation is required for reimbursement?
How reimbursement works
You pay for sessions at the time of service.
I provide a detailed superbill.
You submit this to your insurance company.
They reimburse you directly per your benefits.
Happy to talk through insurance and payment during our initial consultation — understanding your coverage up front means no unexpected financial surprises.
Good Faith Estimate notice
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, providers must give clients who are not using insurance an estimate of expected charges, including for psychotherapy.
You can ask any provider for a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling, or at any point during treatment. If you receive a bill at least $400 more than your estimate, you can dispute it — keep a copy of your estimate.
