Specialty
Therapy for shame and the inner critic.
That voice that narrates everything you do wrong, replays old mistakes, and sets standards you could never actually meet — it usually isn’t telling the truth about you. It’s telling you about something that happened.
What shame and the inner critic can look like
- A harsh internal voice that’s quick to criticize and slow to acknowledge what goes well
- Difficulty separating your worth from your performance
- Chronic apologizing or over-explaining
- Feeling exposed or “found out” even when nothing is wrong
- Trouble accepting care, compliments, or rest
How I can help
IFS is especially suited to this work — treating the inner critic not as a flaw to eliminate but as a part of you trying, in an outdated way, to protect you from shame or rejection. We build a different relationship with that part, so it stops running the show.
