Specialty
Perfectionism therapy for the exhausted high-achiever.
From the outside, perfectionism can look like discipline. From the inside, it can feel like nothing you do is ever quite enough — and the cost of that standard is exhaustion, procrastination, and a fear of being truly seen as anything less than capable.
What perfectionism can look like
- All-or-nothing thinking about your own performance
- Procrastinating or avoiding tasks you might not do “right”
- Difficulty accepting compliments or feedback that isn’t critical
- Chronic self-criticism disguised as “high standards”
- Burnout from a pace you can’t sustain but don’t know how to slow down
How I can help
We trace perfectionism back to where it started — often a very reasonable adaptation to an earlier environment — and use IFS to work with the inner critic directly rather than arguing with it. ACT and CBT help loosen all-or-nothing thinking, so “good enough” stops feeling like failure.
